The Arizona Multihousing Association Charitable Foundation (AMCF) Big Hearts Bowl-a-Thon returns on May 20, 2022 from 1p.m.- 5p.m., presented by American Roofing & Waterproofing. This fun-filled day will help raise funds for AMCF’s charitable partners: The Resident Relief Foundation, UMOM New Day Centers, SARRC and the Julie Hurst & Steve Peters Education Fund.
There are multiple ways to get involved in this charitable bowling event, PJ’s & Pins for A Purpose! In order to participate, you must be a member of the Arizona Multihousing Association (AMA). Then you can start by gathering a bowling team and registering online to participate on May 20 at Bowlero Mesa, located at 1754 W Southern Ave. in Mesa. Pajamas are highly encouraged! There will be a costume competition for the best pair of PJ’s and bowlers can look forward to taking part in an in-person raffle for a chance to win $1,000.
If you aren’t able to make this in-person bowling event, there are other ways to show your support. The Pillow Fight Challenge allows participants to raise money online by “fighting” for donations and spreading the word to help raise funds for AMCF and their mission to provide safer communities while enhancing residents’ lives. You can start your own team to raise funds or donate to existing teams. Be sure that while raising donations, donors know each team’s name at checkout so the team can receive credit. Mention us in your memo box if you would like your donation to represent team American Roofing & Waterproofing!
This fundraising experience will also be hosting an online auction with fantastic items that participants can register for online. Bidding opens Monday, May 16, 2022 and closes at 3:15 p.m. on Friday, May 20, 2022. The top fundraising team will be announced and awarded at the Bowl-a-Thon.
The schedule for the Bowl-a-Thon is as follows:
1-2 p.m.: Registration
2-4 p.m.: Bowling
2:30 p.m.: Pillow Fight Fundraiser Challenge winner announcement
3 p.m.: PJ costume contest
3:15 p.m.: Silent auction closes
4 p.m.: Raffle drawing for $1,000
4-5 p.m.: Event wrap-up – silent auction item pick-up available at this time
