American Roofing and Waterproofing are making a family’s holiday brighter this season, by announcing the winner of the first annual Raise the Roof Giveaway. The winner receives a new roof valued up to $10,000 with a 10-year warranty. To qualify, valley homeowners shared their compelling stories as to why they were in need of a new roof. Nicole and Joe Pontarelli and their high school-age daughter Kiara were selected as the winners of the 2021 Raise the Roof Giveaway.
Kiara was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma cancer in 2019 and has undergone seven surgeries to beat this aggressive cancer. Many times they thought that they had conquered cancer only to have it rear its ugly head. Kiara’s mom and dad are strong individuals who have had endless medical bills that have made it difficult for them to make anything but the necessities a priority. Their house was built in 1997 and the roof desperately needed repair but there just was no funding for this.
“No family should have to worry about the safety and security of their roof. We are so honored to be able to give this deserving family a new roof with a 10-year warranty to make this a reality,” said American Roof and Waterproofing CEO Kirk Mannor.
The work on the new roof began Thursday, Dec. 16th, just in time for the family to have it completed by Christmas.
